New Discoveries

So this last week Andrew has made some new discoveries. He is a good sitter now, it takes a while before he looses balance and face plants it in the floor. (he thinks its funny sometimes) He is rolling EVERYWHERE and when something is in his way and he cant roll anymore, he calls for Mom to rescue him. He likes playing with the wipe bags and when i carry him he tries and touch everything we pass. (Gotta watch him in the store now, he will grab grab GRAB). He laughs so hard at the littlest noises that it brings him to tears sometimes. :)
The rash he developed on his chin is doing better, i am putting cream on it 3 times a day and it is helping a lot. He has just a few little dry red spots now. I hope it wont last long, he has such beautiful skin and I don't want it scarred.
We are looking forward to having Paul's Mom in town and I plan to get a little rest. We are also excited to see our friends tonight and spend some time catching up and eating. The weather has been beautiful and I am excited to take Andrew for his first time in the swim pool and spending a lot of time outside exploring.
Paul's job seems to be picking up and I am doing well at serving, we are well on our way to building a great savings and future for our family. I am also exploring my creative hand at chocolate art and cakes. I am having fun with it and hope to make it something I can stick with. I made a Tortes and the Hare cake, I think it turned out nice. (I hope it taste nice too)
One thing I am bummed about is I have to work on my first Mother's Day which happens to also be Paul's birthday. My Boss said there is no way I can get it off and I could tell he felt bad, but its OK. I love my co-workers and want to be a team player, plus i hope to make good money. We have decided that the day I do have off that week we will make it a special one and do our celebrating then with the Family. :) Well, that is all that is on my mind for now, catch you later.

6 months and growing

Today was Andrew's 6 month check up (he is actually 6 and 1/2 months) and he is a healthy 18 lbs and doing great! We have been so blessed that he has not been sick once since he came to us. He is such a joy and blessing in our lives and I cannot imagine a world with out him. Time has flown by so fast!
I am enjoying my job at Carrabba's. It works great with Paul's working schedule where when he gets off he can take Andrew then we chat for a few minutes then I am off to work. Paul and I do miss each other though but we try and keep in touch with a phone call or text. Its a sacrifice right now till things get better at his work and the economy improves. The important thing is that we are now saving money for that rainy day and Andrew's future (and future siblings).
We feel so blessed at this time even though we are not where we thought we would be. One thing we have learned over the past few years with our move here to Texas and Andrew coming 7 weeks early and Paul's work is that things never happen on your time line. Things happen on the Lords time and we might not see why at the time but as they always say, hindsight is 20/20. This is so true for us looking back. We have nothing to complain about, we have everything! A healthy strong baby boy, our ever growing love for each other, a loving family and friends and our faith in God and our Savior Jesus Christ.
We are also so excited for Paul's mom, Linda and brother Morgan to come visit next month. Hopefully my work schedule will allow room for us to plan some fun outings with them. This will be Morgans first time meeting Andrew and it will be fun seeing them together. Cant wait!
